Unidentified gunmen opened fire indiscriminately at a bar in Bekkersdal, Johannesburg, South Africa, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The attack left nine people dead and 10 others injured. According to police, the attackers also fired shots on the tavern and surrounding streets.
The Sydney police have issued a statement regarding the incident. Police said that two people have been taken into custody following reports of multiple gunshots at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach on Sunday, and the public has been urged to seek shelter in a safe place.
