The Delhi High Court on Wednesday referred a complaint filed against the lawyer representing the convicts facing the gallows in the Nirbhaya rape case to the Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) which will take up the matter on January 17.
A Delhi court on Tuesday issued death warrant against all 4 convicts., execution to be held on 22nd January at 7 am.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday adjourned till January 24 the petition filed by one of the death-row convicts in the Nirbhaya rape case claiming that he was a juvenile at the time of the offence.
Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Wednesday adjourned hearing till January 7 hearing in death warrants for the convicts.
The Supreme Court rejected the review petition filed by Akshay Kumar Singh, one of the death-row convicts, in the 2012 Nirbhaya rape and murder case.
Four convicts in the Nirbhaya rape case are slated to appear before a Delhi court on Thursday through video conferencing due to security reasons and a threat to their lives.
On the sixth anniversary of the Nirbhaya rape case, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 40-year-old neighbour in Delhi’s Bindapur area on Sunday.
