Bhim Army chief Chandra Shekhar Aazad has been arrested in connection with the violence in Old Delhi’s Daryaganj, police said on Saturday.
A large mass of people turned up in Jama Masjid area of Old Delhi here on Friday in a major protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and raised slogan denouncing the newly-enacted law.
In view of the Ayodhya verdict, the security has been beefed up around the Jama Masjid area and parts of Old Delhi, police said on Saturday.
