To provide relief to the consumers during the lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak, the Union Ministry of Power has decided to to ensure 24×7 electricity supply and also reduced payment security by 50 per cent.
A meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Adityanath, the second since he assumed office last month, also decided that district headquarters will get 24-hour power supply, Power Minister Shrikant Sharma said after the three-hour-long meeting.
