A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Supreme Court on Friday seeking death-row convicts in the Nirbhaya rape and murder case to hanged within a month and their executions be live telecasted.
BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, commenting on the Kathua rape, said, “They should not have protested. They should have ideally not commented until an investigation was conducted. The Jammu and Kashmir police conducted a thorough investigation and have arrested the accused.”
BJP MP said that capital punishment is the only way to deal with people disrespecting women.
