The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday fielded Eranna Kadadi and Ashok Gasti as it’s candidates for the June 19 Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka, ignoring the recommendations of the state BJP unit.
Four BJD candidates on Wednesday filed their nomination papers for the March 26 Rajya Sabha elections in Odisha.
The win of two of the three BJP candidates party president Amit Shah and Smriti Irani was almost certain, while the fate of the third party candidate Balwantsinh Rajput who joined BJP after resigning from Congress was hanging in balance along with the sole Congress candidate Ahmed Patel.
