In a move likely to boost its dwindling fighter squadron strength, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is pushing a proposal for acquiring 33 new combat aircraft including 21 MiG-29s and 12 Sukhoi 30s.
“Wreckage found. Close to the last known position of aircraft. As of now weather is bad and the place has dense foliage. Further update follows,” said the IAF in an official statement.
The rescue mission for the missing Sukhoi-30 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF), has been currently halted due to bad weather condition.
According to reports, the aircraft airborne from Tejpur Air Base, lost radar and radio contact approximately 60 Km North of Tejpur.
