After effecting a major VIP security cut and withdrawal of SPG cover from the Gandhis, the Union government has now decided to completely remove NSG commandos from this task, official sources said.
RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, industrialist Anil Ambani, several politicians and celebrities on Monday thronged polling stations to exercise their franchise in the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
“Electricity was limited to just five districts in Uttar Pradesh and this is the fact that everybody knows. We said that there is no VIP in a democracy and there can be no discrimination, ” Yogi said.
“The CM has given clear orders that no special arrangements be made during his visits and any show-off or inconvenience to common people should be avoided,” an official said.
Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said in a conversation that people of the country used to get angry by the red beacon and the sirens.
