Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has achieved a major success. Shubham Kumar, a vicious criminal who was absconding on serious charges of embezzlement of government money and fraud, was arrested in Lucknow. A reward of Rs 50,000 was announced for this criminal.

According to the information received by the Dynamite News correspondent, the STF had received secret information that the absconding accused, Shubham Kumar, had been seen near the Charbagh foot overbridge, and the criminal was trying to escape from there.

Taking this information seriously, the STF team took immediate action and arrested him on June 10, 2025, at around 4:30 pm. The arrest was made in the Thana Naka area of ​​​​Lucknow.

"Search operation" conducted in Lucknow

A team was formed under the leadership of STF Deputy Superintendent Avneshwar Chandra Srivastava, and the accused was searched. The search was conducted in many areas of Lucknow, after which this success was achieved.

This success has been achieved by Inspector Pawan Kumar Singh, Ramashankar Chaudhary, Chetan Singh, Raghavendra Tiwari, and Sudhir Kumar.

Embezzlement of government grains worth Rs 12 lakh

During interrogation, the arrested accused Shubham Kumar Chaudhary said that he was earlier working at Sohrab Rice Mill (Sehudakhurd). After this, he was appointed in charge of the paddy-wheat procurement center in DCF (Semharani Siddharthnagar).

During this time, he embezzled government grains worth about Rs 12 lakh. An FIR was registered in this case at Shivnagar Didai police station.

Fled to Mumbai to avoid arrest

Shubham Kumar also said that as soon as he got information about the case, he fled to Mumbai to avoid arrest and remained hidden there for some time, but he came to Lucknow to attend the wedding of one of his friends, where the STF caught him.

Further investigation will be conducted

The arrested accused has now been handed over to the concerned police station, Shivnagar Didai (Siddharthnagar). Further legal action will be taken by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed at the district level.
