Azam Khan's health deteriorates in jail
Rampur: Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former MP Azam Khan from Rampur has suddenly deteriorated. Upon receiving information about his health problems, the jail administration immediately called in a team of three specialist doctors from the district hospital.
The team included a surgeon, a physician, and an ophthalmologist. A team of doctors arrived at the jail, but Azam Khan refused to undergo the examination.

The medical team sent by the jail administration approached Azam Khan, but the SP leader refused to undergo the examination. The team returned without conducting any tests.
The jail administration had written a letter to the Chief Medical Officer of the district hospital informing them of Azam Khan's deteriorating health, and the district hospital subsequently sent a team of doctors.

District Hospital Superintendent Dr. V.C. Saxena confirmed the matter, stating that a team had been requested from the jail to examine Azam Khan. The team was sent to the jail, but he refused to examine himself. Consequently, the team of doctors returned without providing treatment.
Azam Khan and his son, Abdullah Azam, have been sentenced to seven years in prison in the fake PAN card case. Both are lodged in Rampur jail. Abdullah Azam's lawyer recently stated that Azam Khan's health is so poor that he is unable to be visited. The lawyer stated that the SP leader is unable to leave his barrack.
Although the jail administration and the district hospital took all precautions, Azam Khan refused to undergo a medical examination. Concerns about his health have spread within his family and political circles.
