UP: Car hit by unknown vehicle on Yamuna E-way; Six killed

The Police Official said that the car was on its way form Delhi to Agra. The accident happened in the Baldev police station area.

Mathura: At least six people were killed and two others seriously injured after a car overturned on Saturday morning when it was hit by an unknown vehicle on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital.

The Police Official said that the car was on its way form Delhi to Agra. The accident happened in the Baldev police station area.

The Eco car driver was going from Noida to Agra via the Yamuna Expressway. Near Mile Stone 141 on the expressway in Baldev area, the uncontrolled car rammed into the truck ahead. Police and toll team, who reached the spot after getting information about the accident, took out the people from the car after a lot of effort.

Six of them died while two women were seriously injured.

SSP Shlok Kumar said, 'It is suspected that the car driver dozed off and the car went out of control and rammed into the back of the truck. Among the dead, three are from Agra district, two are from Madhya Pradesh and one has not been identified yet.'

Deceased Indentified

The deceased include Dharamveer son of Jawar Singh of village Harlalpura, police station Basoni, tehsil Bah, Agra; his two sons Rohit and Aryan; Dalveer alias Chhulle, Paras Singh Tomar sons of Vishwanath Singh, residents of village Badhpura Husaid, Morena, Madhya Pradesh and Rohit's friend (name and address unknown) died.

The deceased include people from two families. While one body has not been identified. One family is from Agra while the other family is from Morena in Madhya Pradesh. Dharamveer, a resident of Harlalpura in Agra, his two sons Rohit and Aryan died. While Dharamveer's wife Soni and daughter Payal are in critical condition.

Severe Collision

The collision was so severe that the car was shattered into pieces. The front part of the car was crushed. The injured were stuck in the car for a long time, then the passersby informed the police. The police cut the car with a gas cutter and got everyone out.
