CBI to move SC challenging suspension of Kuldeep Sengar’s life sentence
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Information (CBI) is going to move the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court verdict suspending the life sentence of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and grant him bail in the Unnao rape case.
A CBI official said that the decision was taken after studying the verdict of the Delhi High Court in the Unnao rape case of 2017.
He said that the CBI has decided to file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) before the Supreme Court.
