Lucknow: The buzz that has been taking rounds in sports and political circles for quite some time, has now proved to be true. Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj and Cricketer Rinku Singh are finally getting engaged on 8 June, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
The Ring Ceremony of Rinku and Priya will be held in a hotel here in Lucknow where family members and close friends will be in attendence. The wedding is likely to happen sometimes later this year in Varanasi.
Infact it was last January that the wedding of Priya Saroj and Rinku Singh was confirmed.
Priya Saroj: A Brief Profile
Priya Saroj belongs to Varanasi where she was born on 23 November 1998. She completed her schooling from Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, New Delhi. Then she obtained an LLB degree from Amity University in Noida.
After completing her studies, Priya Saroj started her political innings and reached the Lok Sabha riding on the SP Cycle.
Priya Saroj contested the last 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Machhlishahr seat on a Samajwadi Party ticket and registered a landslide victory. Priya defeated her nearest rival BP Saroj by a margin of 35,850 votes.
Priya Saroj has inherited politics from his family. Her father Toofani Saroj has also been a three-time MP. Toofani Saroj is currently an MLA from Kerakat seat on a Samajwadi Party ticket.
Rinku Singh: A Brief Profile
Rinku Singh, who is going to start his life journey soon with Priya Saroj, is a resident of Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Born on 12 October 1997, Rinku Singh made his Twenty20 International debut for the Indian cricket team against Ireland on 18 August 2023 and made his mark as an explosive and talented cricketer in a very short time.
Rinku has won many hearts by performing tremendously on many occasions in T20I and IPL matches.

Rinku Singh plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL. He is a left-handed batsman. He represented Uttar Pradesh at the Under-16, Under-19 and Under-23 level and Central Zone at the Under-19 level.
