Kushinagar Witnesses a Day of Political Vision and Development Initiatives
Kushinagar: Kushinagar was abuzz on Saturday as political and developmental messages dominated the agenda. From public rallies to press briefings, the government’s policies and future plans were clearly outlined.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya actively participated in multiple programs, highlighting the achievements of the state government while sending sharp political signals about the opposition, caste-based politics, and the roadmap for the coming years, as per Dynamite News correspondent.
At a program in Gram Ghazipur near Tamkuhiraj, Maurya announced the launch of a new initiative called the “One District, One Cuisine” scheme. Building on the success of the earlier “One District, One Product” program, this new plan aims to identify traditional dishes from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Women from self-help groups (SHGs) will manage the operations, including canteens, branding, packaging, and marketing both nationally and internationally. The initiative is expected to provide employment opportunities for rural women while giving the state’s indigenous flavors a global recognition.
Kushinagar: Development and Politics in Focus
Maurya emphasized that around 30 lakh women from self-help groups have already been empowered to become “lakhpati didis.” The government’s ambitious goal is to create one crore lakhpati didis, while over 7,500 groups are being developed into “crorepati groups.” By placing the responsibility of production in women’s hands and handling market arrangements efficiently, the government is ensuring both economic empowerment and sustainable development in rural areas.
Addressing a large public meeting in Fazilnagar, Maurya delivered a stern message against parties that exploit caste for political gains. He emphasized that the BJP follows a policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” (Together with all, Development for all, Trust of all, Effort of all).
He also criticized the opposition for their inability to accept a Prime Minister who comes from a humble background, noting that such biases have even hindered parliamentary proceedings.
The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the transformative changes in the state since 2017. Earlier, electricity shortages were rampant, whereas today, electricity supply is stable.

Corruption in the MGNREGA scheme has been curbed with direct benefit transfers (DBT), ensuring that beneficiaries now receive full financial support. Maurya stressed that government initiatives now reach people more effectively and transparently than ever before.
During a press conference at Kushinagar Police Lines, Maurya described the central government’s budget as a crucial foundation for a developed India. He pointed out that the budget empowers the poor, farmers, women, and youth, while boosting investments to make India a global manufacturing hub.
He reiterated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is moving rapidly in the right direction, achieving growth and development on multiple fronts.
