The police have achieved a major breakthrough in the kidnapping and murder case in Kapsad village of Meerut. Following the recovery of Ruby on the third day, the village has been completely sealed off.

Kapsad village sealed after new development in the case
Meerut: A major development unfolded on Saturday in the sensational kidnapping and murder case in Kapsad village under the Sardhana police station area of Meerut.
The police recovered Ruby, who had been missing for three days, around 6 pm on Saturday. The main accused, Paras Som, was also arrested along with her.
According to the police, both were trying to escape to Haridwar from Roorkee railway station. The police brought them back to Meerut around 10:30 pm.
The SSP said that in the preliminary interrogation, Paras Som has confessed to his crime.
Kapsad Village Sealed Off from All Sides
Considering the seriousness of the incident and the potential for unrest, the police have sealed off Kapsad village from all sides.
A heavy police force has been deployed in the village. The police have given clear instructions that no outsider, social organization, or political party leaders will be allowed to enter the village.
Complete Ban on Entry of Political Parties
The police have completely banned the entry of all political parties into the village. Officials say that any kind of political activity could further worsen the situation.
On Saturday morning, all the district borders were sealed. SP MP Ramji Lal Suman and MLA Atul Pradhan were stopped by the police at the Kashi toll plaza.
During this time, there was also pushing and shoving and arguments between the police and the workers.
Sit-in Protest at the Border
In the evening, Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad, Congress leaders, and other public representatives arrived in Meerut to meet the victim's family, but they were also stopped at the border.
Following this, several leaders and workers started a sit-in protest there. The police administration clarified that this step was necessary to maintain law and order. Accused hid in Nagal village for two days
The investigation revealed that after committing the crime, Paras Som took the young woman, Ruby, to Nagal village in Saharanpur district.
He hid there at a relative's house for about two days. Saharanpur police received a tip-off that the young man and woman were staying in Nagal village and were planning to go to another location on Saturday. Before the police could reach Nagal, the two had already arrived at Roorkee railway station.
Accused was preparing to flee from the railway station
According to the police, Paras Som was planning to escape with Ruby by train to Haridwar or another state. During this time, the police received information through surveillance and their informant network.
Upon receiving the information, the police acted swiftly, cordoning off Roorkee railway station and apprehending both of them.
Major revelations expected during police interrogation
Following Paras Som's arrest, the police are now conducting an intensive interrogation. Officials say that several important details may emerge during the questioning. The police are also continuing their investigation into the other named accused and the aspects of the conspiracy.
The police suspect that more than one person may be involved in this murder and kidnapping.
What was the whole case?
On Thursday morning, Sunita Devi, a resident of Kapsad village in the Sardhana police station area, was going to the fields with her daughter Ruby.
Near the canal embankment, the accused Paras Som, Sunil, and some of their accomplices arrived in a car. The accused attempted to abduct Ruby.
When her mother Sunita resisted, the accused attacked her with an axe. Seriously injured, Sunita was taken to the hospital, where she died during treatment. The accused then abducted Ruby and fled.
