Mathura: Tensions erupted in the Braj region on Eid when renowned cow protector Chandrashekhar, also known as "Farsa wale Baba," died under suspicious circumstances. The incident reportedly occurred near Navipur village in the Kosikalan police station area, where cow smugglers allegedly crushed him with a vehicle. The incident sparked an atmosphere of grief and anger in the area.

Murder Allegations and Details of Incident

According to locals, Baba Chandrashekhar had received information about cow smuggling in the area. He was pursuing the alleged smugglers with his team. Meanwhile, the accused attacked his vehicle near Navipur and crushed him, killing him on the spot. Upon learning of the incident, the police administration swung into action and launched an investigation.

Highway Blockade and Stone-Pelting

Enraged by the incident, people blocked the Agra-Delhi Highway. A large number of people gathered and protests began. The crowd pelted stones on the highway, damaging several vehicles. The sudden stone pelting created panic at the scene and frightened the passengers.

Administrative officials' vehicles targeted

The angry mob did not spare the vehicles of administrative officials either. The vehicles of the SDM and police officers were pelted with stones, breaking their glass and windows. Baba's body was brought to the cowshed in his village, Anjanokh, where thousands of villagers and supporters gathered. His popularity and fearless image have caused widespread anger in the area.
