Lucknow: After the Pahalgam attack, the situation between India and Pakistan is getting tense. This attack has created a war like situation between the two countries. Now after this attack, the Indian government has started full preparations to give a strong message to Pakistan.
Mock drill will be held on 7th May
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the Modi government has taken steps to make the security system more robust. In this regard, the Home Ministry has ordered to conduct mock drills in a war like situation on 7th May across the country.
17 districts of Uttar Pradesh have been identified for this mock drill, which have been divided into three categories – Category A, Category B, and Category C. These districts have been given these categories on the basis of their sensitivity. During the mock drill, the administration, police, fire brigade and disaster services will practice together to strengthen the security system and public awareness.
Mock drill in these districts of UP
As per the instructions of the Home Ministry, Bulandshahr (Narora) has been placed in category A, while Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar have been placed in category C and the rest 16 districts have been placed in category B. These districts have been chosen because the activities of the Indian Army and Air Force take place here, and in case of war, these areas can come under enemy target.
The prominent places among the 16 districts where mock drill will be held in category B are Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Bakshi Ka Talab, Mughalsarai and Sarwasa.
The purpose of this mock drill is to prepare the public for a war-like situation. During the mock drill, as soon as the siren sounds, people will have to go to safe places and stay away from open spaces. Also, the strategy of 'blackout' (complete darkness) will also be implemented. This means that in case of an attack, the lights of all the houses, offices and public places will be switched off to avoid being seen by the enemy.
This mock drill is an important step to make the citizens aware about the war time situations. It will not only educate them about the safety measures but will also instill a sense of self-defence and alertness.
