New Delhi: The BJP chief Nitin Nabin's first organisational visit to Uttar Pradesh assumed political significance since his two visit expected to indicate his priorities and strategy. He was to leave for Lucknow on Friday, however,it has said to be rescheduled for july 4 and 5.
During his hectic two day visit, Nitin Nabin is scheduled to meet prominent personalities in Lucknow and also leaders of alliance partners like RLD, Apna Dal, Nishad party in order to assess the BJP's electoral preparedness and organisational strength across the state.
In view of the sensational Ayodhya temple donation theft and the public outcry, party chief is expected to make a special assessment of the situation.
Though the BJP state unit led by Pankaj Chaudhry planning a grand reception to party boss in Lucknow,directions were sent to involve various communities,castes and social groups given the fact that the state is going to polls early next year.
According to reports, around nine reception points will be installed which will be led by BJP MLAs and MLCs and municipal corporators at various points.
During the visit,Nitin Nabin will chair a meeting of newly appointed state office-bearers,coordinated by BJP vice president Shanker Giri, followed by a meeting of district presidents from the party's organisational districts, to be cordinated by state secretary Shivbhushan singh.
One of the most closely watched engagements will be Nabin's proposed interaction with snior RSS functionaries and office-bearers of sangh affiliated organisations, including regional pracharaks.
The overall coordination of the two-day programme has been entrusted to BJP general secretary Sanjay Rai, who has retained the post for a second consecutive term. Nabin is also likely to address more than 6,000 booth-level functionaries and Shakti kendra convenors.
