Noida: 25-year-old girl dies after jumping in front of moving train at Golf Course metro

Noida: A girl committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at Golf Course Metro Station in Noida. She had come to the metro station with a young man.

The deceased girl has been identified as 25-year-old Simmi. She used to work in a private company in Noida. Police is investigating the matter.

Police Statement

In this regard, Noida Police said that on Tuesday, the girl committed suicide by jumping in front of the metro in front of platform number 1 of Golf Course Metro Station under Sector 39 police station area. The 25-year-old girl has been identified as Simmi daughter of Rajiv Ranjan. She was a resident of Salarpur Thana Sector 39.

According to the police, on receiving the information of the girl's suicide, the Sector 39 police station has taken the body of the deceased into custody and is sending it for post-mortem after filling the Panchayatnama, the girl's family has been informed and further action is being taken.

Metro running late on Blue Line

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) posted on X that services on Blue Line (Line-3) were delayed due to passengers being on the track at Golf Course Metro Station. Apart from this, services on all other lines are running normally.

Earlier, thieves stole a youth's mobile from the gate of Noida Sector 52 Metro Station. At the time of the incident, the victim was standing in line to enter the Metro premises. The victim has registered a case of theft at Sector 58 police station. In the police investigation, the case has come to be of Sector-49 police station area.

Brijesh Tiwari lives with his family in Sarfabad village of Noida. He was going from Noida to Delhi on the night of 17 April. He reached Sector 52 metro station at around 8:15. He stood in the queue at the gate to enter the metro premises. Some clever thief stole his mobile from his pocket. When he went inside and put his hand in his pocket, the mobile was not there.

He searched for the mobile nearby and also enquired from people. After taking help from a person, he called on his number and his mobile was switched off. This revealed that the mobile was stolen.

He called on dial 112 and complained to the police. Then he lodged an online complaint about the matter. The police station said that since this matter is of another police station area, the complaint will be transferred to the concerned police station.
