Over 500 narcotic injections recovered on Indo-Nepal border; 2 Nepali citizens arrested

Sonauli: A joint operation of police and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on the India-Nepal border in Sonauli area of ​​​​Maharajganj district on Saturday has achieved great success. Two Nepali citizens were arrested in this operation, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

590 narcotic injections and a motorcycle were recovered from them. This action is part of a special campaign being run to stop illegal drug trafficking.

Arrest And Recovery

A joint team of police and SSB arrested two Nepali citizens, Bhupendra Kumar Pandey (23) and Noor Mohammad Nau (22) in Sonauli Kotwali area. Both are residents of Shuddhodhan Gaupalika of Kapilvastu district of Nepal. 590 narcotic injections and a Bajaj Discover motorcycle were recovered from their possession.

Drugs Recovered

The recovered material includes 190 ampoules of buprenorphine injection, 200 ampoules of diazepam injection and 200 ampoules of promethazine hydrochloride injection. All these drugs were being used for illegal smuggling.

Legal Action

The police have registered a case against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The process of presenting both the accused in the court has been started.

Special Campaign

This action was taken on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police of Maharajganj, who ordered a special campaign to stop drug smuggling on the Indo-Nepal border. The aim of this campaign is to curb illegal activities in the border area.

Panic Among Smugglers

This operation is an important step against drug smuggling on the Indo-Nepal border. This joint action of the police and the SSB has created a stir among the smugglers. There are plans to further intensify such actions in the future so that illegal activities in the border areas can be completely stopped.

Earlier Arrest

In the first week of April taking a major action against drug smuggling in the Thuthibari police station area of ​​the district, the police have recovered a large consignment. This action was taken by a joint team of Thuthibari police station and Sashastra Seema Bal on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Somendra Meena.

Security agencies conducted an intensive checking campaign in Rajabari Tola Tadhwa area on the India-Nepal border. During this, a suspicious Pulsar motorcycle was stopped. During the search, a total of 1409 narcotic injections were recovered from the motorcycle, which were being prepared to be sent to Nepal illegally. Apart from this, 728 injection stickers and a Pulsar motorcycle have also been seized. One minor has been arrested from the spot, while another accused escaped by dodging the police.
