Representational Image of Smart City
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced plans to make Muzaffarnagar a smart city. The decision was taken during a divisional review meeting held in Saharanpur, where Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Minister of State with independent charge of the state government, put forward the proposal, which was immediately approved by CM Yogi.
Integrated Development Plan (IDP)
CM Yogi directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive development plan for Muzaffarnagar, in which the city should be equipped with modern facilities. The scheme will include major works like a drainage system, underground cabling, a new bus stand, and road widening.
Expansion of modern facilities
Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that the population of Muzaffarnagar has now exceeded 6 lakh, so the city needs better infrastructure. For this, a new bus stand on NH-58, a multilayer complex, and the widening of Shamli Road will be done on priority.
Goal of a self-reliant city
CM Yogi said that Muzaffarnagar will be developed as an ideal and self-reliant city. Cabinet Minister Anil Kumar, Minister of State Brijesh Pundir, Jaswant Saini, and many MLAs attended this meeting.
The development of Muzaffarnagar will set an example for other cities of western Uttar Pradesh.
Under the Smart City Project, the city will get better traffic, clean water, and electricity facilities.
This will create new employment opportunities and accelerate the economic development of the city.
The government has made it clear that this scheme will soon be visible on the ground. This is a big gift for the residents of Muzaffarnagar, which will improve their standard of living.
This decision reflects the policy of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" of the Uttar Pradesh government. Now it remains to be seen how this scheme gives a new look to the city.
