UP: Migrant laborer dies due to electric shock in Hardoi

Hardoi: News of a tragic accident has come from Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a migrant laborer died due to electric shock this morning in Majhigwan Amarnath village of Hariyava block.

The deceased has been identified as Khushiram, a resident of the village, who used to work as a laborer in Delhi and had come to the village on leave these days. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after the incident.

At the same time, there is a lot of anger among the family members and villagers towards the electricity department.

The accident happened at 8 am

According to eyewitnesses and family members, Khushiram was standing near an electric pole outside his house at around 8 am. Then suddenly his hand touched the pole.

Current was already flowing in the pole, due to which he got a strong shock and he fell there. The people present nearby immediately brought him home, but by then he had died.

The wires were already hanging, no action was taken despite complaints
The relatives and villagers have accused the electricity department of serious negligence.

They say that the electric wires connected to the pole and the nearby meter were loose and hanging for many days. Complaints were made to the departmental officials several times in this regard, but no hearing was held. If the wires were repaired on time, this accident could have been averted.

The condition of the family is very bad

Khushiram has left behind his wife, three daughters and a son. The financial condition of the family is already very weak. Khushiram used to feed his family by working as a daily wage laborer in Delhi. After his death, a mountain of sorrows has fallen on the family.

Villagers demanded compensation and action

After the accident, a large number of villagers gathered and started raising slogans against the electricity department. The villagers have demanded from the district administration that the family of the deceased should be given immediate financial assistance and strict action should be taken against the negligent electricity department personnel.

Administrative team reached the spot
On receiving the information, the local police and administrative team reached the spot and the body was sent for postmortem. Officials have assured the villagers that the matter is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken against the guilty staff.
