Kanwar Yatra 2025
Meerut: The Uttar Pradesh government has geared up for the Kanwar Yatra. On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Rajiv Krishna reached Meerut district. A high-level meeting is going on at the Meerut Commissioner's Office there. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, IPS and IAS officers from neighboring states Haryana, Delhi, and Uttarakhand are also present in this meeting.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clearly ordered that no Kanwariya should face any problem. The DM of the concerned district should call a meeting at his level and prepare a strategy regarding that. Apart from this, he conducted an aerial survey by helicopter from Ghaziabad's Hindon Airbase to Bijnor on Monday.
Permission will not be given to get down from the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
The Meerut Police traffic officer said that no vehicle will be allowed to get down from the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Regarding this, police duty will be imposed at every expressway cut. Apart from this, ambulances, fire brigades, milk, bread, and food vehicles in the district will be sent after checking. Although route diversion will be done during Kanwar Yatra, there will be no route diversion for essential vehicles.
National Highway-58 and the Delhi route will be closed.
After July 10, roads like Roorkee, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli, and Modipuram will be opened only for Kanwariyas. The rest of the lights and outside vehicles will be completely banned. Even National Highway-58 and the Delhi route will be closed for common people.
