New Delhi: In Vastu Shastra, the main door of a house is considered one of the most important areas because it is believed to be the entry point for energies entering the home. According to Vastu principles, an incorrectly placed entrance may lead to mental stress, health concerns and financial difficulties.

According to Interior Vastu Planner & Consultant Rani Tibrewal, certain angles in the north and east directions have a significant influence on a household. Among these, the Ishan (Ish/Shikhi) and Parjanya entrances are considered important. Understanding these directions and applying Vastu remedies is believed to help maintain balance and harmony.

Ishan (Ish/Shikhi) Entrance

The Ishan or Shikhi direction is associated with the meeting point of the north and east directions, known as the Ishan corner.

According to Vastu experts, this entrance is connected with the fire element. If there is an imbalance or defect in this direction, it is believed to increase the chances of sudden losses, unexpected troubles and financial setbacks.

Experts suggest that negative energy from such defects may also create tension among family members. To correct this imbalance, the installation of a Tripur Bhairavi Yantra at the main entrance is recommended in Vastu traditions. It is believed to protect the house from negative influences.

Parjanya Entrance

As per Vastu principles, the Parjanya entrance covers a specific portion of the east and north directions. This direction is associated with cosmic energy and is believed to require proper balance.

If the main entrance falls in this area, Vastu experts suggest managing the energy flow carefully. An imbalance is believed to create disturbances in personal and financial matters.

For this entrance, the installation of a Kamala Yantra at the main gate is considered auspicious. The yantra is associated with Goddess Kamala (Lakshmi) and is believed to attract prosperity, wealth and peace.

Vastu Remedies Without Major Changes

According to Vastu beliefs, homeowners do not always need to make structural changes to correct entrance-related defects. Remedies such as placing specific yantras at the main door during an auspicious time are suggested to balance energies.

The Tripur Bhairavi Yantra for Ishan direction defects and the Kamala Yantra for Parjanya entrance are believed to bring positivity, stability, prosperity and harmony to the home.
