Ayodhya: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has intensified its probe into an alleged large-scale theft of offerings and financial irregularities at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. According to officials, recoveries worth crores of rupees have already been made, while the Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested eight accused in connection with the case.

Preliminary findings and inputs gathered during the investigation suggest that the alleged scam could exceed ₹200 crore, though authorities are yet to officially confirm the total amount involved. Investigators are also looking into claims that several valuable items, including Ram Lalla's sacred paduka (holy footwear), a gold idol and a precious diamond necklace, are missing from the temple.

Police and SIT teams are conducting raids and questioning suspects to trace the missing valuables, identify those involved and establish the alleged mastermind behind the case. The investigation is ongoing, and officials are expected to reveal further details as the probe progresses.
