New Delhi: Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the sexual harassment case filed by female wrestlers.
Following the court's verdict, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh stated that in his very first response on January 18, 2023, he had declared his readiness to face the death penalty if the allegations against him were proven true. He remarked that his acquittal by the court proves the allegations against him were baseless.
He further added that those who had conspired against him stand exposed. Brij Bhushan also claimed that this case has demonstrated that even world champions and Olympians can lie.
