At around 11 am, a speeding tractor crushed two youths riding a motorcycle on the Khajni-Gorakhpur main road near Jaitpur, resulting in one death on the spot and leaving the other critically injured.
The deceased has been identified as Rampal Chaudhary, son of Ram Sahay. The injured youth, Subodh, son of Banarasi Gautam, a resident of Pachauri under Harpur Budhat police station limits, sustained serious injuries and is currently battling for his life. According to eyewitnesses, the tractor was being driven recklessly by a minor, who lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the motorcycle. The impact was so severe that one of the youths died instantly, while the other was thrown onto the road, bleeding profusely.
