Delhi Court acquits Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the excise policy case, calling the charges baseless. AAP leaders, including Somnath Bharti, hailed the judgment as “divine intervention” and criticized BJP and Congress for attempting a political conspiracy.
New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti called Arvind Kejriwal's release a "divine intervention." He said it was not just a verdict, but a victory for truth. Bharti alleged that the BJP and Congress conspired together to tarnish Kejriwal's image of honest politics, but the court's decision proved those efforts futile.
He said that while filing an FIR may be within the government's power, the court's decision is based on evidence. Without concrete facts, the case cannot stand. Bharti claimed that the 500-page judgment clearly showed that the alleged liquor scam had no basis. He also questioned the media trial, alleging that an attempt was made to defame Kejriwal during the election campaign.
Somnath Bharti said that if the opposition has any morality left, they should apologize to the country. He also said that the public will respond to Kejriwal's emotional outburst outside the court in the upcoming elections.
