Lucknow: The new decision by the municipal corporation regarding the increasing incidents of stray dog attacks in Kanpur has ignited a political debate. According to the rule, if a dog bites a person twice, it will be sent to a shelter home. Samajwadi Party MLA Gaurav Rawat reacted to this issue.
MLA Gaurav Rawat said that the Samajwadi Party has long been raising concerns about the problems caused by stray dogs, monkeys, and other animals. He added that if the government implements a systematic and permanent policy on this matter, it can significantly reduce casualties and the problems faced by the general public.
Responding to the BJP's allegations that the Samajwadi Party protects mafias, Rawat said that the BJP itself is acting like a "washing machine." He claimed that many leaders who have joined the BJP were previously associated with other parties and face serious allegations.
Speaking on crime and the bulldozer policy, the SP MLA said that the government's claim of zero tolerance does not match the ground reality. He demanded an impartial investigation, stating that action should be taken equally against individuals from any political party.
