Fatehpur: On Saturday afternoon, a scene unfolded in Banarsi village of Fatehpur that thrilled the people. For the first time, a helicopter landed in the village, and from it emerged the groom, Vikas Pandey, and the bride, Tara Shukla. This unique helicopter farewell has become the talk of the entire region. Vikas's wedding to Tara Shukla, a Naib Tehsildar (revenue officer), took place in Kanpur on December 5th. The groom's father, Om Prakash Pandey, decided to arrange a helicopter farewell to make the moment memorable.
As the white helicopter hovered over the village, people rushed from the fields and streets to witness the sight. There was an atmosphere of curiosity among the children and astonishment among the adults. As soon as the helicopter landed, a round of applause erupted. As the bride and groom disembarked, the villagers welcomed them with flowers and best wishes. Many people were seen taking videos on their mobile phones.
The groom, Vikas Pandey, said that the idea was conceived by his JMD Group and his family members. His friend mentioned that the helicopter rental was approximately ₹1,25,000 per hour, which the family considered a memorable gift for their son and daughter-in-law. This sight was like a dream for the villagers, and this unique farewell is also going viral on social media.
