New Delhi: Azamgarh MP Dharmendra Yadav questioned the Finance Minister in Lok Sabha today on Monday. He said, he was listening carefully to the minister, but the country takes the Prime Minister's words more seriously.

He cited the Prime Minister's old statement, saying that 'the country's credibility falls with the rupee.' In this context, Yadav directly questioned the government, asking whether it still stands by this statement, when the rupee has fallen from 60 to 94-95.

Dharmendra Yadav alleged that the government's statements are different during elections and different when formulating policies. He also said that the government claims the economy to be among the top in the world, but cites countries like South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines to compare the rupee.

He asked when the time will come when India will be compared to strong currencies like the dollar, pound, and euro.
