

Sonbhadra district’s mining officer Shailendra Singh Patel has been accused of serious corruption. Social organization Shashwat Manch president Shyam Mishra and social worker Prabhav Dubey have demanded investigation and action.
Sonbhadra: Mining officer Shailendra Singh Patel posted in Sonbhadra has been accused of accumulating illegal property worth Rs 300 crore. Shashwat Manch president Shyam Mishra and social worker Prabhav Dubey said in a press conference that the officer has bought many flats, farm houses and luxury cars in his and his relatives' names since 2008. According to the complainants, the officer has information about a farm house worth 68 crores, a flat worth 4 crores and bank transactions worth Rs 1.83 crores.
It is alleged that the officer earns up to Rs 1 crore every month from illegal mining and permit scams. The complainants have said that they will hand over all the documents to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He has warned that if action is not taken, he will file a petition in the High Court. After the case came to light, there has been an uproar in administrative circles.
