Kolkata: FIFA World Cup excitement has swept across the country as the tournament reaches its second semi-final. The football craze has taken a unique turn in West Bengal’s Durgapur, where a sweet shop owner has displayed a Messi-themed creation at his shop.

 

Football Craze

In football-crazy West Bengal, the Durgapur-based sweet shop owner and diehard Lionel Messi fan has crafted a lifelike, life-size statue of the Argentine legend using khoya and chocolate.

The statue has been made entirely from khoya, kheer, white chocolate and dark chocolate.

This unique creation highlights Bengal’s deep connection with both football and sweets during the FIFA World Cup.

Argentina vs England

The second semi-final will see England taking one on one Argentina. Argentina have till now registered close-shave wins against Cape Verde, Egypt, and Switzerland to reach the semi-finals.

Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane have been leading from the front, helping England reach the semis.

England would be looking to get the best out of their players to register a win against the defending champions.
