New Delhi: Suzuki has unveiled the 2026 edition of the Burgman Street, bringing the fresh look, new features, and an updated platform while keeping its signature maxi-scooter style. The range is priced from Rs 1.02 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh for the top-spec variant in Delhi. Since its 2018 debut, the Burgman Street has crossed 1.1 million units in cumulative sales.

New Platform and Design Updates

The 2026 Burgman Street is now built on a platform derived from the Suzuki Access, making the frame 500 grams lighter and 25% more torsionally rigid. While the scooter keeps its 12-inch wheels and telescopic front/rear suspension setup, the design sees some notable changes:

  • LED headlights and tail-lamps for a modern look
  • Angular, boxy exhaust muffler
  • Fuel filler repositioned under the tail-lamp for easier access

Key Features and Variants

The top-spec variant gets 'keyless' ignition with a multifunction key fob that can lock the seat, fuel filler, and handle. It also features a TFT digital dash, while the lower variants stick with an LCD display and physical key. Storage has increased to 24.6 litres, and the scooter now includes USB charging ports, and twin cubby holes for convenience.

Other specs include:

  • 5.5-litre fuel tank (slightly larger than Access)
  • 160mm ground clearance
  • Dual-tone colours for TFT, single-tone for LCD variants

Engine and Performance

The Burgman Street continues to run a 124cc fuel-injected, air-cooled engine, delivering 8.4hp and 10.2Nm torque. Paired with a CVT gearbox, the scooter offers both electric and kick start options. A new starter clutch improves acceleration from 30-60 km/h, reduces noise, and provides a slightly retuned exhaust note. Kerb weight stands at 114kg for LCD and 115kg for TFT, heavier than the Access (106–107kg). Braking continues with front disc, rear drum, and Suzuki’s Combined Brake System, but ABS is not available.

Price and Availability

The EX variant (Rs 1.08 lakh) remains unchanged. Prices for the 2026 Burgman Street start at Rs 1.02 lakh and go up to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both single-tone and dual-tone colour options are offered depending on the variant. The new Burgman Street blends familiar maxi-scooter styling with practical upgrades, making it a strong choice for city commuters who want style, storage, and comfort.
