New Delhi: Indian automobile manufacturing giant Mahindra and Mahindra has confirmed the launch of the BE 6 Sporteq, with its full reveal scheduled for August 15. The first teaser released by the automaker gives a clear look at the biggest change: a new triple-screen dashboard.

The new updated EV’s cabin adds a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger along with the existing 12.3-inch driver’s display and central infotainment screen. This creates a continuous, three screen layout across the dashboard, which is similar to the setup seen in Mahindra’s larger electric SUVs.
The teaser also reveals a few styling update of the Sporteq’s styling changes; the electric SUV is finished in a matte black exterior shade, whereas the cabin features brown upholstery and red ambient lighting elements, giving vechile a more sporty feel and look. The dashboard itself also appears to have been redesigned around the new screen arrangement.
Mahindra is yet to reveal the complete equipment list for the BE 6 Sporteq. However, the EV is expected to retain the existing electric powertrain options. The BE 6 is currently offered with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs. The battery generates 231bhp with 380Nm and 285bhp with 380Nm of torque, respectively.
The 59kWh battery variant claimed MIDC range 548km whereas the 79kWh offered a range of 683km. Existing features such as multiple drive modes, regenerative braking levels and single-pedal driving are also expected to continue.
