Mahindra Vision S
New Delhi: Mahindra, the automaker that has dominated the Indian car market, will be scoring big again. According to the media, Mahindra is expected to launch its upcoming SUV named Mahindra Vision S on the celebratory day of August 15. The automaker has not yet announced its launch date, however, the autopriyanshi section is abuzz with several details that have emerged during testing. Let us see what all the fuss is about.
The Mahindra Vision S was first spotted on the roads during testing while it was heavily camouflaged before its launch. According to the spy shots, one could see details about its interior and exterior. The SUV is expected to have a dark interior. It might have an identical steering wheel to the popular BE 6. The dashboard may have a big 12.3-inch infotainment, digital instrumentation and fancy toggle buttons. The model which appeared during sneak peek sessions would most likely be the mid-range version; and therefore the top-end model is likely to be even more advanced.
Loaded with Luxury and Security Features, Mahindra vehicle makers are noted for their attempts to load up their cars with good features.
The Vision S would no exception and would focus on passenger safety and comfort with the following features:
Comfort and Convenience: Panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, cruise control, adjustable headrests, and a folding rear armrest.
Lighting and Visibility: Eye-catching LED lights and a rear defogger. Safety Features: Good things would also be there for passenger safety as six airbags and traction control will most likely be available standard or on the top-end models.
In terms of the powertrain, although the company has not yet revealed official figures, the SUV could be available in petrol and diesel engine versions too:
Petrol Engine: It may feature a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that would generate approximately 131 horsepower coupled with 230 Nm of torque.
Diesel Engine: On the other hand, a 1.5-litre diesel engine would produce around 117 horsepower coupled with 300 Nm of torque.
In terms of transmission, customers should have options to choose between manual and automatic gearboxes. Rumours of an Electric (EV) Version in addition to the ICE Version
A big buzz still surrounds this Mahindra SUV - it could be launched as an electric vehicle (EV) in addition to the conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) version, i.e. petrol and diesel. Still, news from Mahindra is awaited from the company.
It is speculated by the media that Mahindra could launch this SUV on August 15. After the launch, the company could announce the pricing and release it for the market on the way ahead in the coming months.
