New Delhi: The upcoming MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition has surfaced in leaked images ahead of its official launch in India. The pictures shared by Autocar India offer a closer look at the special edition’s exterior styling updated cabin and additional convenience features.
JSW MG Motor India had previously teased the new edition, which appears to build on the standard Windsor EV with a distinctive colour scheme and extra equipment. The special edition is expected to target buyers looking for a more premium experience from the electric crossover, although its official specifications and pricing are yet to be confirmed.
The leaked images reveal a gold exterior finish that gives the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition a different visual identity from the standard model. Black alloy wheels add contrast to the body colour, while an exclusive 'Indulge' badge distinguishes the special edition. Other exterior elements appear to remain familiar. These include the black roof, black outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) and dark body cladding, retaining the overall design of the regular Windsor EV. The new colour treatment and edition-specific badging are among the key styling changes visible in the leaked pictures.
The cabin receives a fresh tan-and-black upholstery combination, giving the interior a different look from the standard version. The 'Indulge' branding is also visible on selected interior elements, including the headrests. One of the most notable additions is a roof-mounted, flip-down screen for rear passengers. This feature could make journeys more entertaining for occupants travelling in the back.
The main infotainment display appears to be retained, although the complete equipment list has not yet been officially announced. These changes suggest that the Indulge edition will focus on enhancing cabin comfort and passenger convenience rather than introducing major exterior redesigns.
The standard MG Windsor EV is available with two battery pack options: 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh. According to the specifications provided for the existing model, the smaller battery offers a claimed range of up to 332 km, while the larger pack delivers up to 449 km on a single charge. Both versions use a front-mounted electric motor producing 136 hp and 220 Nm of peak torque.
The Indulge Edition could continue with the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, potentially offering the longer claimed range. However, this configuration remains unconfirmed, and the final powertrain specifications will need to be verified at launch.
The special edition is expected to command a premium over the corresponding standard Windsor EV variant, given its distinctive exterior finish and additional cabin equipment. The standard MG Windsor EV's starting price has been cited at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model. The final price of the Indulge Edition, including any BaaS option has not yet been officially announced. Buyers should wait for the manufacturer's pricing announcement to understand the exact difference between the special edition and the regular model.
The leaked images point to a special edition that prioritises styling and rear-seat convenience. The gold finish, black alloy wheels, upgraded upholstery and roof-mounted entertainment screen are the main highlights visible so far. With the official launch expected to clarify the final equipment list, battery configuration and price, the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition could offer an alternative for buyers seeking additional features in the electric crossover segment. More details will become clear once JSW MG Motor India formally announces the edition.
