Volvo Introduces Long-Range Electric SUV Offering 800+ km Range
New Delhi: Swedish carmaker Volvo has introduced its new mid-size electric SUV, the EX60, to the global market. This SUV will replace the company's existing mid-size SUV, the XC60. With its strong range, advanced technology, and excellent safety features, the Volvo EX60 is poised to set a new benchmark in the electric segment.
The Volvo EX60 is offered in two drive options. The all-wheel drive (AWD) variant offers a range of up to 810 km, while the rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant offers a range of up to 620 km. With such a long range, the EX60 emerges as a strong option for long-distance travelers.

Volvo has also introduced the EX60 Cross Country variant, a new addition to the company's cross-country lineup. This variant features a special Frost Green color, exclusive to this model and inspired by Scandinavian nature.
The EX60 Cross Country features 20 mm more ground clearance than the standard model. This level can be increased by another 20 mm with air suspension. Additionally, specially designed wheels, front and rear bumpers, and Cross Country branding on the D-pillar distinguish it. This model will be available in the top all-wheel drive variants P10 and P12.
Both the EX60 and EX60 Cross Country are built on the new SPA3 architecture, which utilizes mega-casting and cell-to-body technology. The battery is integrated directly into the car's structure, resulting in reduced weight and greater energy efficiency. The company claims the EX60's carbon footprint is comparable to that of the smaller model, the EX30. With a 400 kW fast charger, this SUV can be charged for a range of 340 km in just 10 minutes.

Production of the Volvo EX60 will begin this spring at its factory in Sweden. Deliveries of the P6 and P10 variants are expected to begin this summer, while the P12 variant will arrive shortly after.
