Hero MotoCorp is launching several new models to boost market sales, including an upgraded Glamour 125. The company has not disclosed the name of the new 125cc motorcycle, which is expected to be introduced on 19-20 August. The Hero Glamour test unit features cruise control, a unique feature in the commuter market. The bike is powered by a 124. 7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, generating 10.3 horsepower and 10.4 Nm of torque. The high-end Xtec model is expected to receive the Hero Glamour with cruise control. The updated model is expected to maintain the same specifications and achieve up to 65 km/l mileage.

New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp is releasing a number of models with new updates as part of an aggressive product strategy aimed at boosting market sales. Recently the new bikes teaser was released by the Desi two-wheeler brand. Hero has not yet disclosed the name of the new 125cc motorcycle which the company plans to introduce on 19–20 August.

The Super Splendour, Glamour and Xtreme 125R are the three 125cc bikes that the biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world currently offers. Therefore the company is unlikely to introduce a brand-new bike in this market. On this day Hero is anticipated to release an upgraded Glamour 125.

A few weeks ago spy photos of the updated Hero Glamour went viral on internet, revealing the feature in the test model. This test mules most unique feature was one that is uncommon in commuter bikes. The upcoming Hero Glamour test unit had cruise control which is typically reserved for a few bikes with more potent engines. Hero MotoCorp made a significant move by including cruise control in the commuter bike which will be the first of its kind in the commuter market.

Operationally cruise control enables the rider to set the speed without using the throttle and hold it until the brakes are applied once more. The toggle button for cruise control has been incorporated beneath the ignition button as per the recently made public spy photos. Additionally new is the switchgear on the left which has buttons to control the new LCD instrument panel.

The instrumentation resembles that of the Karizma XMR 210 and Xtreme 250R. Currently available in two variants Standard and Xtec the Hero Glamour has a starting price of Rs 95098 ex-showroom. Powering it is a 124. 7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 10. 3 horsepower and 10. 4 Nm of torque.

The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. Up to 65 km/l is the mileage that the Hero Glamour achieves. It is anticipated that the updated model will maintain the same specifications.

It is anticipated that the high-end Xtec model will get the Hero Glamour which has cruise control. In terms of cost it will be intriguing to observe how the inclusion of cruise control influences the cost.
