New Delhi: Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift in India. This is the model's first major update since its debut. Bookings have opened immediately, and deliveries are expected to begin soon. The company has focused on improving design, technology, and range.

Pricing and Variants

The new Punch EV facelift has a starting ex-showroom price of ₹9.69 lakh, going up to ₹12.59 lakh for the top variant. The company has also introduced a Battery as a Service (BaaS) program, starting at ₹6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is available in five trims-Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ S. Notably, the company is offering a lifetime warranty (unlimited kilometers) on the battery pack, a first in this segment.

Exterior Changes and New Colors

The facelift model features minor design changes. The front features a completely sealed grille, new LED DRLs, and a triangular headlamp cluster at the bottom. A connected LED taillamp setup is expected at the rear.

Three new shades - Bengal Rouge, Caramel, and Fearless Yellow—have been added to the color options. Previous colors like Pure Grey, Empowered Oxide, Supernova Copper, and Pristine White will also remain available.

Interior and Features

The company has provided a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with an updated user interface. Features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, and a 360-degree camera.

The new Punch EV also features paddle shifters, which offer four levels of battery regeneration and single-pedal driving.

Battery, Range, and Performance

Tata Motors has added a new 40 kWh battery pack, which offers an ARAI-certified range of 468 km, compared to the original C75 range of 355 km. A smaller 30 kWh battery option is also available.

The SUV supports 65 kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 20-80% in just 26 minutes. With a 95 kW (127 bhp) motor, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 9 seconds.

Overall, the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift has emerged as a stronger option in the entry-level EV segment.
