Hyundai Creta tops Indian car sales
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has shared that the Hyundai Creta has become the top-selling car in the country from January to July 2025. In the last seven months, Hyundai has sold 1,17,458 units of the Creta, which is 8% more than the same period last year. The Creta has been a popular choice among customers for several months.
The Creta, which was first introduced in 2015, has now been on the Indian market for 10 years. In 2025, it has become the best-selling SUV in the country, and in the last three months of the six-month period, it has also been number one in total car sales. Since its launch, over 12 lakh units have been sold, and it continues to lead the mid-size SUV segment with more than 31% market share.
The Hyundai Creta 3 is available in both manual and automatic transmission options. It is currently priced between Rs 11.11 lakh and Rs 20.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV comes with three engine options: 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel.
The fuel efficiency of the Hyundai Creta depends on the variant. The petrol version gives a mileage of 17. 4 km/l with manual transmission and 18. 4 km/l with automatic. The diesel version gives 21. 8 km/l with manual and 19. 1 km/l with automatic.
The new Hyundai Creta comes with several features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. For safety, it includes six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, level-2 ADAS, forward collision warning, blind-spot collision warning, and collision avoidance assist.
