Patna: In view of the Bihar Assembly elections, the Mahagathbandhan has begun preparations to release a joint election manifesto.
According to RJD sources, all constituent parties have reached a consensus on the joint manifesto and it may be released on Tuesday (Today) in the presence of Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav.
Which promises may be included?
The manifesto will prioritize Tejashwi Yadav’s “Har Ghar Naukari” (Every Household Job and Livelihood) and his promises to contract workers, as well as his MAA and BETI schemes.
Furthermore, Congress’s election promises will also be included. According to sources, announcements such as 200 units of free electricity and a gas cylinder for Rs 500 will also appear in the joint manifesto.
Tejashwi Yadav to release the manifesto
The Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav will release it in the presence of leaders from other constituent parties. On Thursday, the Mahagathbandhan held a joint press conference ahead of the first phase of elections, amid differences over seat-sharing. On this occasion, the Mahagathbandhan announced Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate.
Tejashwi will be the Chief Ministerial face of the Mahagathbandhan
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot confirmed the names of Tejashwi Yadav and Mukesh Sahni as the Chief Ministerial and Deputy Chief Ministerial candidates in the event of a Mahagathbandhan victory.
With this announcement, the Mahagathbandhan has presented the united face of all its constituent parties and its electoral agenda to the public.
