Twenty-five ministers, along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, have taken oath and assumed their respective responsibilities. Following the meeting, Nitish stated that the Bihar government has set a goal of providing employment to 10 million youth in the next five years.
Regarding the incident, local residents reported that criminals on a bike shot and killed Ashrafi Singh (65), a resident of Bhupatipur. As soon as the shots were fired, people gathered at the scene.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has been given the Land and Revenue and Mines and Geology departments. BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal will be the Minister of the Industry Department.
The postgraduate ministers include Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Sunil Kumar, Arun Shankar Prasad, and Shreyasi Singh. The graduate ministers include Mangal Pandey, Madan Sahni, Ramkripal Yadav, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Sanjay Kumar, and Sanjay Kumar Singh.
Sanjay Kumar Singh has been elected MLA from the Mahua assembly constituency. He is a first-time MLA on the Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJP) ticket. Lalu Prasad’s son Tej Pratap Yadav contested from this constituency. Sanjay is considered very close to Chirag Paswan.
Shreyasi Singh, who entered politics in 2020, successfully retained her Jamui seat in the recent elections. She defeated RJD candidate Shamshad Alam by over 54,000 votes, improving on the margin from her debut victory five years ago.
Nitish Kumar sworn in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the 10th time today. The Governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to him in a grand ceremony held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
The list of ministers to be sworn in in the Nitish cabinet has also been released. The BJP will have 14 ministers in the new government. Besides CM Nitish, seven ministers will be sworn in from the JDU. Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) will each have one minister.
Bihar is set to witness a major political event as Nitish Kumar takes oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time. Following his unanimous election as NDA Legislature Party leader, he resigned and staked claim to form a new government again with NDA partners. BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha are likely to become Deputy CMs, while allies like LJP(R), RLSP, and HAM may get new ministerial berths.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA states, will be present on the occasion.
