Nitish Kumar set to take oath as Bihar CM
Patna: Following the NDA's landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, JDU leader Nitish Kumar has been elected as Chief Minister of Bihar for the 10th term. He will now be sworn in as CM for the 10th time on 20th November. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Gandhi Maidan, Patna.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President JP Nadda, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA states, will be present on the occasion.
In addition, dignitaries awarded with the Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, scientists, literary figures, and other prominent figures will also be present.
Prior to the swearing-in ceremony, an NDA meeting will be held in the Central Hall of the Legislative Assembly at 3:30 pm. It is rumored that 13 ministers from the JDU quota are likely to be appointed at this meeting.
The return of the NDA government in Bihar under Nitish Kumar's leadership will mark a significant turning point in state politics. After the swearing-in, the focus will also be on the formation of the new cabinet and the direction of development plans.

BJP MP speaks on preparations for the ceremony
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, speaking to reporters on Tuesday (November 18), provided information about the preparations for the ceremony. He said that full preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers, and chief ministers of various states will attend.
Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that NDA MPs and officials will be present at the ceremony. In addition, lakhs of common people will also attend. Regarding the question of inviting opposition parties, he said that all opposition parties will be invited, and it will be up to their discretion whether or not to attend.

Bihar government minister Nitin Naveen said that the government's aim is to take the state forward on the path of development. All arrangements are being made to make the swearing-in ceremony memorable. He said that Prime Minister Modi and the Chief Ministers of several states will be present on this special occasion, making it even more significant for Bihar. Bihar BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal also said that thorough planning has been done to make the ceremony grand. He said that it is a matter of good fortune that Prime Minister Modi will also attend the ceremony.
