Patna: The preparations for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections have intensified, and now the Aam Aadmi Party has made a direct entry from the country's capital, Delhi, to stir up the politics of Bihar. Party convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that AAP will contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar alone; that is, neither Congress nor RJD—this time Aam Aadmi Party is entering the fray on its own.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, this decision of Kejriwal has intensified the war of words in Bihar politics. Congress leader and independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav launched a scathing attack and said, "The rope burned, but the twist did not go away." He said that Kejriwal has the right to contest the elections, but the people of Bihar will not fall prey to anyone's political selfishness. He also added that "I am ready to give my life for the poor of Bihar but will not let this state become anyone's laboratory."
Pappu Yadav's big allegation
Pappu Yadav also targeted the Election Commission regarding the voter verification process. He said, "The Election Commission does not have any Aladdin's lamp, but the way it is working, it seems as if it has become the RSS office." Calling this entire process a threat to democracy, he said that the public will now have to be prepared.
'After ruining Delhi, now it's Bihar's turn.'
LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Chaudhary also expressed displeasure over AAP's Bihar entry. She said, "Arvind Kejriwal first ruined Delhi; now he is targeting Bihar." She claimed that the people of Bihar will reject AAP because the voters here have now become alert and aware.
Setback to INDIA alliance or Kejriwal's new move?
This move of Kejriwal is being considered a big setback for the INDIA alliance, especially when RJD and Congress are already in alliance in Bihar. AAP has already almost destroyed Congress in Delhi; now the question is whose votes will AAP cut in Bihar—Congress-RJD or BJP-JDU? According to political analysts, this can become a 'damage game,' in which Kejriwal's entry can affect not only his own but also the credibility of other parties.
Bombardment of statements before elections
As the elections are coming closer, Bihar politics is getting more heated. Kejriwal's solo entry has created panic in the opposition camp. At the same time, sharp statements from leaders like Pappu Yadav and LJP are an indication that it is no longer possible to take AAP's presence lightly. Now it remains to be seen whether the Aam Aadmi Party will be able to make any real hold on the political ground of Bihar, or will this entry remain limited to discussions only?
