50 IPS officers have been transferred in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: A major administrative reshuffle was seen in Madhya Pradesh last night. 50 IPS officers have been transferred in the state. This list includes the names of 18 DIGs including SPs of 16 districts and DIGs of 7 ranges. Most of these officers took over their posts only 6-8 months ago.
Ratlam DIG Manoj Kumar Singh has been made DIG Lokayukta. Rajesh Singh Chandel, who was the DIG of Rewa, has now been appointed as the DIG of Bhopal Rural. Railway DIG Monica Shukla has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Crime in Bhopal.
Transfer done in 6 months
Let us tell you that 5 officers in the transfer list got promotion recently. All were made DIG from SP in January 2025. At the same time, the post of many officers including D Kalyan Chakraborty, Rajesh Singh Chandel and Sunil Pandey has been changed within six months.
What is the reason for the transfer?
On such a large number of transfers, the MP administration says that the post of most of the officers has been changed after completion of 3 years.
At the same time, in some cases, transfers have been done due to investigation and administrative reasons.
Especially in Rewa, Bhopal Rural, Betul, Sidhi, Narmadapuram, Satna, Jhabua, Sheopur, Umaria, Maihar, Khargone and Alirajpur, SP and DIG rank officers have also been transferred.
