Preeta Verma, Director General of Police (Training), has been given the responsibility of Director General cum Chairman cum Managing Director of Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation Limited.
In the December end the Departmental Promotion Committee will meet to finalise these decisions. The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Secretary, with the Principal Secretary (Home) in attendance.
This list includes the names of 18 DIGs including SPs of 16 districts and DIGs of 7 ranges. Most of these officers took over their posts only 6-8 months ago.
The PPS rank has been awarded to 20 IPS officers by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). These officers will be placed in new positions with more responsibility. The state government will quickly determine their precise assignments following the ministrys notification.
The central government has empanelled four senior IPS officers of the Uttar Pradesh cadre for the post of Director General (DG) or equivalent posts. All these officers are from the 1994 batch and are now considered eligible to be appointed to top-level administrative and security posts under the central government.
The Uttar Pradesh government has released a special list of 21 capable IPS officers of the state. These officers have been assigned special tasks.
