Lucknow: IPS officer Rajeev Krishna has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of the Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh has finally got a full-time DGP after a gap of four years. Krishna had been serving as the acting DGP till now.

The appointment ends a long wait for a permanent police Chief in Uttar Pradesh and is being seen as a major administrative decision by the Yogi Adityanath government.
