IAS Anjaneya Kumar Singh Repatriated to Parent Cadre Sikkim after 11 Years in UP

The central government has finally relieved 2005-batch IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh from Uttar Pradesh, repatriating him to his parent cadre Sikkim. During his 11-year stint in UP, Singh served as District Magistrate of Bulandshahr, Fatehpur and Rampur, and later as Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad for nearly four years.

Lucknow: IAS officer Anjaneya Kumar Singh (2005 batch, Sikkim cadre) has been relieved from Uttar Pradesh and sent back to his parent cadre Sikkim. The Centre ended his deputation after nearly 11 years of service in the state.

Singh had joined Uttar Pradesh on deputation on 16 February 2015 as Special Secretary in the Irrigation & Water Resources Department and CEO of the Integrated Water Management Project. He later also held charge as Administrator of the Sharda Sahayak Project.

On 25 July 2016, he became District Magistrate of Bulandshahr, followed by a stint as Additional Commissioner in the Commercial Tax Department. From June 2018 to February 2019, he served as District Magistrate of Fatehpur, and from February 2019 to March 2021 as District Magistrate of Rampur.

In March 2021, Singh was elevated as Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad, a position he held until 2025. Over the course of his deputation, he served in key administrative roles, including as DM of Bulandshahr, Fatehpur and Rampur, and as Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad for almost four years.
