New Delhi: A brief scuffle broke out at the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam here in New Delhi on Thursday after exhibitors objected to entry restrictions imposed due to heightened security for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to DCP Devesh, the restrictions were part of a comprehensive security protocol. He assured that all registered participants and exhibitors would be granted entry once the Prime Minister’s programme concluded.

Among the prominent world leaders present are French President Emmanuel Macron, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Special representatives from Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, and the UAE are also attending the high-profile gathering.
Despite the brief disruption, proceedings continued under tight security arrangements as scheduled.
